iriver Spinn

There are lots of rumours going around about the new iRiver’s 3.3-inch Spinn media player with AMOLED display but we finally get to see it in action! The new SPINN Wheel controller assisted by touch-screen AMOLED display with haptic feedback does look very impressive in the video. Check it all out after the break.

Before we get to the video, I’ll give you a little more information on this fantastic PMP from iRiver. As mentioned it has an AMOLED display which stands for Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode, in non-science speak this means it will give a beautiful picture even when watching a film with lots of action. AMOLED pixels turn on and off more than three times faster than conventional film so there will be no motion artefacts to ruin your viewing pleasure.

The iRiver Spinn will last 24 hours of continuous playback and supports DAB radio, T-DMB TV and Bluetooth. No mini SD slot and no WiFi, unfortunately but you can’t get everything. Spinn will come in 4GB and 8GB versions, there was a rumour that there would also be a 16GB model but this is not currently on pre-order for South Korea. It was also rumoured that the iRiver Spinn would have an August release in the UK, but it is now August and there has been no news on this front. Let hope iRiver organise an international launch soon.

Anyway enough waiting, here is the video.
