I have a viper helmet with Bluetooth and can access my phone and music stored on it ,in fact have done so through several different phones, I upgraded to the Nolan with all the bells and whistles and have a very expensive helmet sitting in the corner as the pairing up to phone can only be described as a nightmare as in hold this button for 2 sec hold this one down for 4 . So if you can find the viper Bluetooth 2 helmet costs about £150 of your english pounds and pairs with most things with easy to work controls even with gloves but cannot skip tracks go for it

I run an Arai GP 7 with the Cardo Scala rider FM kit. Great and it fits all helmet types. I have just this morning got the G4 version released Feb 2010 and that has cabled or bluetooth mp3 ability. This is the best solution that I have found as you can also talk to 2 other riders within 1km distance.

£239 is well worth it but shop around and you can save a bit.

HEY GUYS
I HAVE BEEN RIDING FOR MANY YEARS, I HAVE USED MULTIPLE DEVICES. I CURENTLY HAVE A SET UP THAT IS AWESOME! AT THE MOMENT I HAVE A SHOEI RF1000 WITH A CHATTERBOX BLUETOOTH. ALLS I HAVE TO DO IS PAIR MY BLACKBERRY TO IT AND I CAN ANSWER PHONE CALL AS WELL AS PLACE PHONE CALLS. WHILE I AM RIDDING I CAN LISTEN TO MY MUSIC THAT I DOWN LOADED ON TO MY BLACKBERRY, I CAN SHUFFLE THROUGH MY SONDS, CONTROLL VOLUME ALL VIA CHATTERBOX. WHEN A CALL COMES IN I CAN ANSWER IT THE MUSIC WILL SHUT OFF WHILE I AM ON THE PHONE, WHEN IM DONE THE MUSIC COMES BACK ON. AND THE BOX DOES TALK BIKE 2 BIKE ONLY IF THE OTHER GUY HAS A BOX TOO. THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST SET UP THAT I HAVE EVER USED I HIGHLY RECOMEND IT! THE ONLY THING IS IT IS KINDA PRICEY!! THE HELMET RUNS $475.00, THE BOX WILL RUN $399.00, AND THE BLACKBERRY WILL PROB RUN 200.00 RIGHT NOW. TOTAL PRICE IS PROB $1075.00

Hey Adrian,
I ride a motorcycle too. I am looking for the same kind of helmet you have been looking for. They are starting to make bluetooth helmets now.
Nolan makes a handful of bluetooth helmets but.. what a rip of they charge separate for the headphones and microphone ($100) and then, your bluetooth kit ($230).
I ordered a Vega Vtune but have not recieved it yet due backorder. I guess it is stuck in U.S. Customs until late June . However it is a very affordable full face with an internal sun visor and bluetooth . (No Microphone though) all for ($230)
Let me know if you have found anything that works for you. I am looking mainly for MP3 usage.

I found your site because I am looking for a MP-3 / Bluetooth combiniation that I can use with my motorcycle. You forget that there are millions of motorcyclist in this world: especialy here in Asia. I am an X-American busiessman, now teaching in Bangkok. Not a couch potatoe. I have Bluetooth on my cell phone and it works great.
What millions of cyclists need is a MP-3 Bluetooth player with a compatible set of ear phones that fit into the helmet —-not into your ears. So, you leave the head phones in your helmet and keep your player either under your seat (away from rain, etc.) or in a pocket. This would market well through motorcycle (and bicycle) shops throughout the world.

The Sony Rolly looks great, doesn’t it. When you see it in action, you can’t believe it’s from a company as conservative as Sony! If it was portable enough to go jogging with, I’d get one myself. Not that I actually go jogging, I just feel MP3 players should be small enough to take jogging with you if you ever wanted to!

Now if only my Sony Ericsson phone could do this…!
