Secret Sony Ericsson wireless audio system leaked

Sony Ericsson wireless audio system
Here’s something you don’t see every day – mobile phone manufacturer Sony Ericsson are working on a top secret wireless audio system. Details are scarce at the moment (and pictures, annoyingly, even scarcer), but apparently the new audio system will feature 2.1 audio with subwoofer, FM radio, bass and treble controls (which you’d kind of hope for with an audio system!) and an OLED display.

You can pair up to five devices to the system, which suggests Bluetooth will be used. Actually, this makes sense, as it’ll surely be used to play the music from mobile phones. With five different phones all hooked up to it, though, can you imagine the fights that will break out at parties with everyone trying to get their music heard?!

This is an interesting departure for Sony Ericsson, who’ve been experimenting quite a bit with phone accessories recently, having just launched a new updated range of Bluetooth watches. Although they’ve released speakers before for their Walkman phones (like the pic above, which isn’t the audio system being discussed here), this is the first time they’ve released a complete audio system, and the results sound very interesting indeed.

Certainly Sony Ericsson reps are apparently very excited by the new audio system, and if there’s one thing you can be sure of with Sony Ericsson, the quality of anything they produce is usually of a very good standard. We’ll keep you posted when we hear more news.
